As the director of design for Joy & Mario I was responsible for overseeing each collection from concept development to completion.  The brand focus was on espadrilles.  Using the basic elements of an espadrille I played with shape, proportion, textures and embellishments to create new styles that reflect the laid back California lifestyle.

This was a project I did for Claire Pettibone, a Los Angeles based bridal designer.  The design direction was to use natural fibers and vintage details to create a collection of dresses that would last beyond the wedding day.
